This report shows that bullying is far more widespread in Australia than most people realise — about 71% of Australians say they have experienced bullying at some point in their lives. More than half (53%) experienced it at school, and over one-quarter (27%) say they've been bullied at work. Alarmingly, among those who were bullied, nearly three-quarters (74%) said no one stepped in to help. The survey also reveals that bullying is current — around 31% of those bullied reported it happening in the past 12 months. Importantly, when someone does intervene or offer help, the impact is substantial: many victims who received support reported feeling grateful, protected or relieved.
